Booking Terms.
These terms govern the booking of a paid 1:1 session with an instructor through mainact.co. They cover what you book, the price and payment, and — most importantly — the cancellation, refund and rescheduling rules that apply to your booking. Please also see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Who these terms are between.
The 1:1 session you book is a contract between you (the customer) and the instructor you book with. The instructor is the provider and seller of the session.
mainact is operated by Tischar UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Ziegelgasse 24, 71384 Weinstadt, Germany. mainact operates the platform and facilitates the booking and the payment, but is not itself a party to the session contract between you and the instructor (see section 08).
What you book.
A booking reserves a specific 1:1 session — a date, a start time and a duration — with a specific instructor. After payment is confirmed, you receive a confirmation email containing the session details and a secure link (a "magic link") you can use to view, reschedule or cancel your booking without creating an account.
The session format, location or online-meeting details, and any requirements are as described by the instructor on their profile and/or communicated to you. The instructor is responsible for delivering the session as described.
Price & payment.
The price shown at booking is the total price for the session in euro (EUR), including any applicable taxes. There are no additional booking or platform fees added to your payment.
Payment is taken at the time of booking. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) on the instructor's connected Stripe account. mainact does not store your full card details; these are handled by Stripe as the payment processor. By completing a booking you authorise the charge for the session price.
Cancellation & refunds.
If you cancel a confirmed booking, the refund depends on how far before the session start you cancel (measured in Europe/Berlin time):
- More than 48 hours before the session — full refund (100%).
- Between 24 and 48 hours before the session — 50% refund.
- Less than 24 hours before the session — no refund.
- No-show (you do not attend and do not cancel) — no refund.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. You can cancel from the booking-management link in your confirmation email.
Rescheduling.
You may reschedule a booking once, free of charge, provided that:
- you reschedule at least 24 hours before the current session start;
- the new time is within 30 days and is an available slot of the same instructor.
Rescheduling moves the existing payment to the new time — there is no additional charge and no refund. After a booking has been rescheduled once, further changes are handled as a cancellation (section 04) and a new booking. Reschedule from the link in your confirmation email.
If the instructor cancels.
If the instructor cancels your confirmed session, you receive a full refund (100%) regardless of timing. We will notify you by email. You are of course free to book another time with the same or a different instructor.
Your data & retention.
To process your booking we collect your name, email address and (optionally) your phone number, together with the booking details. Payment data is processed by Stripe as described in section 03. This processing is necessary to perform the booking contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
Your contact details associated with a booking are automatically anonymised 18 months after the session date; the booking record itself (amount, date, status) is retained for accounting and tax purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
mainact's role.
mainact provides the booking platform and facilitates payment between you and the instructor. The instructor — not mainact — is responsible for the content, quality and delivery of the session. Any claims arising from the session itself are between you and the instructor. mainact's responsibility is limited to operating the platform and the booking/payment facilitation in accordance with these terms and our Terms of Use.

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these booking terms when our booking, payment or cancellation processes change, or when legal requirements change. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force at the time you book. The current version is always available at this URL.
